Untitled edit

Suggest this page be renamed to "List of beauty pageants" (i.e. the specify event-including contests as opposed to contests with no pageantry). — Preceding unsigned comment added by JBVaughan (talkcontribs) 01:18, 22 April 2013‎ (UTC)Reply

By-country edit

Angelo De La Paz favors Miss Universe and feels it is the only pageant that should be mentioned by country.

Note this is Gausachs making a claim about Angelo, not Angelo saying anything here. DMacks (talk) 18:49, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

List organization edit

The list must always be organized in alphabetical order in Wikipedia except when the items call for chronological format like the (List of Belarusian Prime Ministers). Refer to MOS:LIST for more information. In addition, the list of major pageants indicated reliable sources which did not mention Miss Supranational pageant as Angelo De La Paz had added in the list of major pageants. Take note this is an online encyclopedia and not Global Beauties. The principle of Neutral Point of View requires that we describe competing views without endorsing any one in particular. Wikipedia:No original research applies equally to a list of like things as it does for the content article on each individual thing listed. The verifiability policy states that material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable published source. Inclusion of material on a list should be based on what reliable sources say, not on what the editor interprets the source to be saying.--Arielle Leira (talk) 23:41, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Miss Europe edit

Miss Europe article says the contest has not been held since 2006, so it should probably be classified as "Former pageants". 82.141.67.208 (talk) 01:57, 24 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP:OR edit

The categorisation of contests into tiers appears to be 100% WP:OR and needs to be removed or a decent ref found for it. Also, we need to remove non-notable beauty contests from the list, as per normal list practice. Stuartyeates (talk) 18:04, 30 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

2nd-tier beauty pageants edit

Why did you included Miss Tourism International in a 2nd-tier beauty pageants?I think it is already known worldwide not only because of their advocacy to promote tourism but also my home country, the Philippines has three winners and even Venezuela and the United States has only one winner. I think it is better to include this on the 2nd-tier beauty pageant list. If you think I wrong, feel free to reply. This is only my suggestion.RenRen070193 09:27, 10 October 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RenRen070193 (talkcontribs)

4th-tier pageants edit

I changed this sentence for better flowing. I also corrected spelling errors for understanding. Alouisville7 (talk) 21:21, 19 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
