Talk:List of United States Navy aircraft squadrons/Archive 1

September 2006

Is there a better name for the VA- squadrons? Right now, those conflict with one of many common names for Virginia state highways. --NE2 23:37, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

VX-31

A Navy UH-1N with the markings of VX-31 just flew by, so being the diligent wikipedian, I thought I'd look it up here, and lo, there's no mention of a VX-31. I believe the bird is out of China Lake...but I have no idea where to put the sqdrn in the list. Akradecki 20:23, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Reserve units here?

Are Active Reserve units here? I ask because VFA-201 is a reserve squadron not listed. --ProdigySportsman 21:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

There going to be I just haven't gotten that far, but I intend to add them.Cheers — WilsBadKarma (Talk) 21:18, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

missing squadrons in Active Squadrons

Training Squadrons, such as VT-10, VT-86, and VT-4, are in Inactive Squadrons. Furthermore, the S-3 Viking have yet to be completely phased out. Also, the Navy's C-2 Greyhound squadrons aren't even there. --ProdigySportsman 19:08, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm in the middle of a re-org to Active (helo, fixed, and UAV), Reserve (helo and fixed), and Inactive (helo and fixed). More work to do. E2a2j (talk) 16:59, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I am surprised there is no mention of the Lockeed S3 viking, or any squadron of the S3's. Was this just an oversight? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kydnar (talkcontribs) 22:52, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

Black Knights VFA ?

I have a buddy who just got assigned to VFA 154, the Black Knights. I don't think it's listed correctly here. Could we double-check that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.231.60.227 (talk) 02:12, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

This page is undergoing a major renovation. Will get on that as soon as I can. In the meantime, check here VFA-154. E2a2j (talk) 01:25, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Helo and VX help please

The fixed wing stuff is pretty solid, but with the helo master plan in full swing, can someone QA the helo stuff please? Additionally, I'm not 100% sure the VX stuff is complete. E2a2j (talk) 14:36, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Rename page?

Since the list of inactive squadrons is on a seperate page and has "inactive" in the page title, should this page have "active" as part of the page title? Evan.oltmanns (talk) 17:33, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
