Talk:List of SMTP server return codes

Names of the Yxx classes are inconsistent in header, summary, and full list. Most of the references and external links are for HTTP status codes, which doesn't seem relevant. In fact some of the Yxx category look like they are pulled from the HTTP status code external link, which doesn't make sense (ex 3xx being redirection). Was looking for more information on specific codes, but they aren't all referenced in the actual references or links in this page. Seeing the history of the page, this page was created haphazardly by mimicking the page for HTTP Status Codes. The canonical definition of (Basic) SMTP Status Codes are RFC 5321 and RFC 7504. I will nuke the HTTP Status Codes from this page if no one objects. pepoluan (talk) 04:39, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
