Counties etc edit

Curious about the attribution eg of Wick District to Caithness and Tain District to Ross-shire: generally, and especially when first created, a district-of-burghs constituency grouped together burghs from several different counties. Laurel Bush 18:19, 25 April 2006 (UTC).Reply

Just noticed how the Western Isles constituency is associated with the county of Inverness. In fact, until 1975, when Scottish counties were abolished, the constituency straddled the boundary between the county of Inverness-shire and the county of Ross and Cromarty.
Also, I note the article seems to make no reference to post 1975 local government areas.

Merge article? edit

Wondering about whether, how and when to merge the article into Scottish Westminster constituencies, which is the "overview" article for a series of articles. The series does not yet include, however, an article for the period 1997 to 2005. Laurel Bush (talk) 11:52, 23 November 2007 (UTC).Reply
