Talk:Life of Joseph Smith from 1839 to 1844

??? edit

The statement made in Revealed to others "Bennett was afraid he was going to give the church the reputation of a sex cult so he left the church and started a newspaper."

Appears to contradict the statement made in Allegations against Smith "Bennett had become disaffected from Smith and began publicizing what he said was Smith's practice of "Spiritual Wifery". (Bennett, earlier a pro-polygamy activist, knew of Smith's revelation on plural marriage and encouraged Smith to advocate the practice publicly. When this was rejected by Smith, Bennett began seducing women on his own and was subsequently excommunicated for practicing "Spiritual Wifery"[2]. He stepped down as Nauvoo mayor—"

Can anyone suggest an edit that resolves this contradiction, in an unbiased and equitable manner?
