disambig? edit

For some reason, I have it in my head that "Le pescatrici" was a fairly common name for an opera in the mid-18th century. Maybe its just that I've recently picked up the disk of Gassman overtures. A lot of work needs to be added to expand this stub first I suppose.DavidRF (talk) 19:42, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Overture edit

If I recall correctly, there's an interesting story behind the overture. When he was doing the reconstruction, Landon couldn't find it so he used the first movement of the 57th symphony. Then, in the early 70s, Sonja Gerlach found the overture and it turned out to match incipits of the long-lost "Symphony C" (Hob. I/106). I need to gather sources before I can add it to the article.15:54, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
