Does anyone have a vocal score to check? in Wolff S. Un demi-siècle d'Opéra-Comique, the role of Alexis seems to have been sung by tenors at the Opéra-Comique. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 00:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

- I suppose that the OC used another edition with tenors for that role. The French page for the singer, http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Caillot states that he was "un excellent chanteur doué d'une voix mixte, tenant de la haute-contre et de la basse-taille"!
