Capitalisation and Pronounciation edit
Am I totally crazy or did it used to be spelled Lefrak, rather than LeFrak? And pronounced LEH-frak rather than Le Frak. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.95.23.17 (talk) 17:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Officially, according to the corporation and all, it's LeFrak and pronounced leh-FRAK, but residents are used to capitalising and pronouncing it the way you first stated. In fact, there are notices posted around the complex using both capitalisations. - Tajik24 (talk) 02:22, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
I am a recent resident of Lefrak City. It is an attractive, nice, convenient place to live. We have a swimming pool and tennis courts. There are upgrades in progress right now. The elevator banks are all being renovated. In addition, each floor is supposed to be redesigned to resemble a hotel, with new paint and borders on the walls and new carpeting on each floor.
The only problem I have encountered is that "a few" make life hard for the many. There are a few people who do not value their surroundings. They break the glass windows and panes, they put gum on the hallway walls, they dirty the elevator. I don't know who this mysterious "they" are. But, "they" are a small minortiy, make living less pleasant for the many. If there could be a public service announcement/posters or something about pride and quality of life living, perhaps the message would permeate the thick heads of the "they" who just don't get it. But, there should be discusssion and effort placed on preserving a quality standard of living. Our buildings should remain as lovely as the old buildings in Jamaica Estates. It is only a matter of pride/ and a minimal effort.
