This page needs a _lot_ of help.
If someone can find images or diagrams of LAHSOs that would rock. I tried searching on Google but to no prevail.
- I did find some diagrams of LAHSO on the AOPA site but their terms of use thing says "No touchy the pictures, boy." so I didn't.
- I'm also currently trying to track down a list of airports that a LAHSO situation, other than LAHSO of a Point, is possible in, but I'm having trouble with that too...
Thanks for any help you guys can provide! I'm sure there's some certified pilots out there that have to know more than me, the lowly googler!

Removed some nonsense
editI found these gems:
- A LAHSO usually means a very abrupt stop for the aircraft on the short end of the procedure:
- A pilot will have to take special precautions during their landing routine, make full use of the available runway (Executing the initial touch-down in the threshold), and braking at full capacity.
Both are absolute nonsense. I can't imagine anybody who wrote that is any sort of pilot at all. A LAHSO landing in ANY aircraft should be a NORMAL landing without any "very abrupt" maneuvers, much less trying to put the aircraft down sooner on the runway than normal (especially for heavy aircraft this is absolutely ridiculous as it would compromise safety immensely) that fits comfortably in the ALD. Not permitted in many countries
editIs it worth mentioning that LAHSO is not permitted in many countries on safety grounds, and that many airlines will not accept LAHSO clearances in those few countries that do permit it?BaseTurnComplete 11:21, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
