This article would do better to stand alone than merging with the general laboratory glassware article. Glassware is glass; however, it is possible for laboratory tubes to be plastic or metal. The glassware article was cleaned out about three years ago because authors were trying to include every type of glassware which made the article a mess. Instead of merging this article with glassware, there is an alternative. The examples of glassware has a link to test tubes. This link can be switched with the laboratory tube since a test tube is a type of laboratory tube.
Consolidating all types of laboratory tubes into a single article is a good idea. Agriculturist50 (talk) 19:53, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
A Laboratory tube is not a common terminology and is easily confused with laboratory tubing. Technically all of the tubes are in a laboratory and hold a sample so laboratory sample tubes is appropriate. Agriculturist50 (talk) 20:13, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
