Finish Adoption section
editCan someone finish the Adoption section? It ends in mid-sentence.
Link to UN document does not work
editI notice that the link to the document that Armenia has supported in the UN in 2011 does not lead to the proper document, and unfortunately, I could not find the proper document myself. Maybe there is a typo and the 2015 document is meant, but I am not sure. Can anyone help?
Suicides because of homophobia
editThe news about the self-chosen death of a gay couple (Tigran and Arsen) because of the homophobic climate (November 2, 2022) is shocking and certainly indicates that the social climate is not tolerant. But I hesitate if it should be mentioned; it is rather personal.

editI invite the ip editor to present their suggestions here, please stop with your continued disruptions. Archives908 (talk) 15:01, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
"recognized since 2017" is misleading phrase
edit"recognized" is a strong word. As of 2021 no same-sex marriages had been recognized. How many same-sex marriages were recognised in Armenia since July 2017? The answer is - 0. Accordingly, the allegation that "same-sex marriage performed abroad recognized since 2017" is untrue. I think better wording is needed; For example, "same-sex marriages performed abroad supposed to have been recognized since 2017". JDQUD1 (talk) 04:18, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Stop with your disruptive editing, it is not constructive. The data presented here is from sourced material. In terms of the wording, it is quite neutral and reflects the sources accurately. Archives908 (talk) 04:47, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
"The data presented here is from sourced material."
You should provide information from other authoritative sources like The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, CNN, BBC News, Euronews, France 24 etc, not some tabloid rubbish.
"In terms of the wording, it is quite neutral and reflects the sources accurately"
The sources don't reflect the reality. It says "recognized since 2017", though as of 2021 no same-sex marriages had been recognized. This is self-deception and the height of double standards. That tabloid rubbish have failed to provide any proof. No official statement, no press conference, no tweet, no law passed by parliament, no court decision, no date of entry into force. In August 2019, the Minister of Justice, Rustam Badasyan denied these claims, saying that Armenia does not recognize same-sex marriage. According to ILGA-Europe, same-sex marriages aren't legal in Armenia, including same-sex marriages performed abroad.
"Stop with your disruptive editing, it is not constructive."
No, it's not "disruptive editing" it's called facts. You know that what you are doing is simply censorship. And who are you to tell me what's constructive and what's not? I mean, you're being delusional. You're just trying to make Armenia look like a gay-friendly country. But sooner or later, the truth will come out. Armenia is a homophobic country, and a new government will further ban same-sex marriages in Armenia. When that day comes... you'll be wrong. I'd be right. JDQUD1 (talk) 08:30, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Based on your tone and aggression, it has become clear that you are pushing an agenda. Further, you continue to use multiple accounts and IP addresses to push through your edits. I have tried to assume WP:GF if you are a new user, however, using multiple accounts to edit is not acceptable. You have been warned about your disruptive edits on all your IP talk pages, including your main account JDQUD1. If you continue to vandalize this page, it will be reported to the Admins. I suggest you read WP:NOT and WP:SOCK for starters. Archives908 (talk) 12:55, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
There is no right to change legal gender in Armenia
editThe term "legal gender" usually refers to the gender marker in documents, such as ID card, passport, birth certificate, etc. It says "Right to change legal gender" for a reason, it doesn't say "Legal right to change gender". Nobody is talking about banning the gender expression itself. Before 2021, it was technically possible under the clause գ of article 70 of ՔԱՂԱՔԱՑԻԱԿԱՆ ԿԱՑՈՒԹՅԱՆ ԱԿՏԵՐԻ ՄԱՍԻՆ law (currently the reference under "Right to change legal gender" refers to the Russian translated version of that law, but the translated page doesn't say that the law is no longer in force). In 16 May 2021 a new law replaced the old one, and it doesn't allow changing the legal gender anymore. The sixth ECRI report on Armenia also says about that on pages 11-12. The current revision has outdated information and references a defunct law. My revision 1251982420 should be accepted. Rsxrw (talk) 10:25, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
