I made Kingdom of Siwnik as a wiki-link, I know that this article doesnt exist, but I think it needs to be made, it is an interesting part of Armenias history. I can make it but I am really not an expert on this part of the world, this is why I suggest that someone else makes it. Pernambuco 01:15, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Period of the independence and hegemony of the kingdom of Tashir-Dzoraget
editAt the peak of its power, kingdom of Tashir-Dzoraget became suzerain of the emirate of Tiflis[1][2] and the kingdom of Kakheti-Ereti, where the branch of Kiurikian dynasty ruled from 1029 to 1105[3].

In the former, the principate having become hereditary, Kvirike III (1010-29) proclaimed himself king. His daughter was married to David I of Lor'i and their younger son Gagik succeeded in 1029 to Kvirike's throne. The kings of Georgia tried repeatedly to reunite Kakhetia with Iberia; and they, no less than the Kakhetian rulers, made attempts to conquer Tiflis. Bagrat thrice took the city (1046, 1049, 1062), only to lose it again, for his strength was sapped."
After annexation of Tashir by Georgia
editAfter the georgian annexation of Tashir itself , the Kiurikians, having strengthened themselves in the fortresses of Tavush, Matsnaberd and Nor-Berd on the territories of the former kingdom of Parisos, retained their royal title until the beginning of the 13th century‘s invasions of Khorezmshah Jalal-ad-din and later the Mongols in the region[1].
