Fourth?
In the Trivia section, it says that there are hints of a fourth game if the user accomplishes certain tasks...Shouldent that be "The third series"?

Dude, do you really need that many? It's quite the eyesore.--The Crowing 18:10, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- He simply copied and pasted it from the article itself. And that still doesn't seem to get the message across that Chain of Memories counts as the second title. Geg 18:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Quit spamming up the talk page please. Say it one time. Plus, I don't think COM is the second game. I think it's a NO game. So KH and KH2 are the real games. That's my opinion. I am General456 00:58, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, no matter how hard you think, Chain of Memories will continue to exist and continue to count as the second title in the series. Also, please don't revive two month old discussions unless you have something significant to say. Axem Titanium 02:28, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- Actually... Chain of Memories is more like Kingdom Hearts 1.5 since it's just bridging the gap between 1 and 2. Hence the reason it was a GBA title and not a full-blown PS2 title. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 00:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
while you may argue that because it was a GBA game it isnt significant, a rumoured remake is being created for the PS2, check www.khinsider.com, and if you count the remixes (I don't) it would bring the total to 4 games with 2 in developement (COM for PS2 and KH2:FM)
- It's not rumored, it's confirmed...and remakes and special releases aren't really separate installments.—ウルタプ 00:08, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
KH:COM isn't really considered to be a real "main" game; hence the lack of a "2" or "II" in the first or second title. Think of it as a KH 1.5 like what Yoshi said... and as for the Final Mixes, think of them as Director's Cuts or something. But really; since COM gave a reason for Sora's stats resetting, what would do the job in KH3? (just a question...) mortified_penguin contact 00:31, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

How come this article has more revisions than Intelligent Design which is a very controversial article? Its at the 46th place, and is also 2nd highest game on that list (after RuneScape which is 6th). Shinhan 15:24, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

60 Hz???
I saw on Kingdom Hearts Ultimania that the European Version of KH2 is going to be in 60 Hz. What does that mean? Is it any different from the first game? Jienum 14:19, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

- 60Hz PAL is a non-standard television display signal, in contrast with the standard 50Hz PAL format used in most of Europe, Australia, and various other parts of the world. Because the NTSC formats used in the US and Japan displays the signal in 60Hz, some of you may know that console games have to be adjusted to PAL format for European release, and the quality of these adjustments range from good to very poor, with Square tending to make poor conversions. Such conversions usually just slow down the game from the original 60Hz to 50Hz, which can have an effect on the game, depending on the title. The better conversions also change the resolution of the video from the original 480 lines to the 576 lines used for the PAL format, though many just add in black lines to the top and bottom of the image to make up for these extra lines, whether because of technical limitation, or due to laziness in making a good conversion.
- Recently, more games are being released in 60Hz, which is basically 480 lines at 60Hz (the same as NTSC), but with PAL colour coding (for reference, regular PAL format is 576 lines at 50Hz). The advantage to this is that there are no adverse effects that could come about from adjusting to the standard 50Hz PAL format, which include a squashed display with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen described previously (for example in Final Fantasy X or the original Kingdom Hearts), and that games run at the same speed as they did in their original Japanese and US release.
- However, to display such a signal, you will need a compatible TV - most PAL TVs that can display NTSC should have no problem and unless you have an ancient TV, things should be fine. Since this is Wikipedia, just use the search function on the left and search for things like TV display formats if you want to find out more. hirokazu 04:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's wierd though, my tv can support my GC's and my DVD's 60Htz singnal (NTSC) but normaly it don't work with my PS2's 60Htz signal. And now it does with KH II. Bizzare. --Conan-san 08:34, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- The reason for that is because the PS2's 60Hz mode is just outputting NTSC rather than a PAL signal at 60Hz like the GC does. Not sure about your DVD player though. I got Kingdom Hearts 2 PAL last week Wednesday and it definitely doesn't do 60Hz, there's no option for it or whatever, so I don't where the reports of 60Hz came from. hirokazu 17:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
It's 50 Hz but they made adjustments to the game's speed and to the picture itself so that it still runs at full speed and doesnt have those black borders. So basically it runs like 60Hz. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.134.244.82 (talk • contribs).
I don't like this one line.
In the final Mix section it says that the first disc contains the content added to the US version of the game. This is wrong. The only thing they would have is an English voice track. Other than that, things were removed in the English version. All of the new content is not from the English version, someone whould rewrite this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.16.8.148 (talk • contribs) .
True, there was no extra content for the international versions this time. 84.134.253.50 21:43, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
It does. When the English Version came, North America's SquareEnix put the extra stuff; then the Japanese got irritated, took the English content, added it to their Japanese version along with some more new things, and distributed it as Final Mix. I read that before; I just don't remember where... mortified_penguin contact 00:36, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts II Soundtrack
I don't understand. Is the Soundrack for the second game in English? Because it lists the song as Passion which is the Japanese version. If it is only in Japanese are there any plans to release and English version as well? I know this isn't the Soundtrack discussion board but I thought maybe someone edited this would have some input for me. Thanks Nebelum 14:59, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
The English version, titled Sanctuary, was, according to some source, composed first before the Japanese one (Passion). The melody is exactly the same, not like Hikari and Simple and Clean. Try to search youtube for "Sanctuary utada hikaru"--147.197.190.40 04:45, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes but I'm not just looking for the song. I want to know if the whole CD is in English.216.229.205.110 15:35, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, the others are instrumental only, so it does not matter. The only 2 tracks that are either Japanese or English: Passion - Opening, and Passion - After the Battle. My CD is a Japanese CD, the booklet in Japanese, track list in english. I always buy the Japanese version.--W Tanoto 01:41, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Cover Art and CD Art for Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2
It might be good to include the Japanese Version, and European Version as well. I found it is quite annoying only to have the American version on display. The British also speaks english, and this is English Wikipedia. I can still understand if the Japanese version is excluded, because it is not Japanese wiki. Although they are similar, but there are some differences, although not as big as the difference in Final Fantasy IX.
How about adding CD arts, so the article will look better. I volunteered to take picture of each CD arts from different versions (I got all 3), if this proporsal is approved.--147.197.190.40 04:38, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Replaced Spoilers
I don't think it's a good idea to expose the entire plot and ending of the game without spoiler warnings. I don't see any discussion that required removal of such warnings, so I replaced them. It's not fair for those who want to read a small amount to be inundated with details of how the game ends. If someone can convince me why the spoiler warnings shouldn't exist, feel free to discuss. I'm not sure "fuse" is the right word to describe how Sora gets these modes. If he fuses with either donald or goofy, then shouldn't goofy had disappeared when Sora first went in to Valor in Yen Sid's castle. CNN says, yes.Trunksamurai 17:33, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Duel Stance Reaction Command
I was thinking about this for a bit and thought that the Duel Stance reaction command seems to be quite familiar to that of Yojimbo's overdrive (Gah, can't think of the name of it) as they do the same moves by the looks of it. Couldn't that be a nod to the overdrive of Yojimbo or just a coincedence? Drakehellman 05:37, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

About "Mickey's Help"/Shorten talk page?
When I played KH2 several times, the only boss battle where I died and Mickey appeared was in Beast's Castle in the Xaldin boss battle. I have a feeling that "certain boss battles" may not be right, but it's just a feeling. Is there any other boss battles where it's confirmed where Mickey appears?
And also, could someone archive some of the page? The box at the top of my editing screen says it's "42 kilobytes long" and that it suggests to archive some of it. mortified_penguin contact 19:26, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Other Media References
< mukou 22:02, 22 November 2006 (UTC) >
Would a section on references (not direct cameos, obviously; but rather, more discreet references). For example, these ones:
--> Highwind, a common airship name used in the Final Fantasy series.
--> Demyx, who seems rather like David Bowie, plus his famous quote "Dance, Water, Dance" seems rather like the song from "the Labyrinth", "Dance, Magic, Dance", which was interestingly performed by bowie!
--> 'Master Form' looks fairly similar to Tidus' Final Fantasy X attire.
There may be more, but that is all I can think of right now. Since this article does not contain this subject, I thought it would be interesting to add... Thoughts?

And if there will be one, I'm pretty sure they haven't even started developing it yet, as Nomura's team is busy with Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The Splendiferous Gegiford 22:52, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- As far as I can remember, the closest thing to it is that in one of his interviews, Nomura has mentioned great interest in making it, and Disney is also interested in making it. It's not officially stated at all or in any development at all, because his team is working on Versus XIII right now. There are also other projects that his team will be working on but he wasn't able to comment what it was, so KH3 may take a while.. - Zero1328 Talk? 23:21, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

The Plot
...is way too long, and incredibly confusing. I've spent nearly an hour editing this article, but there's a problem- I've never actually played the game! I figured if I could make the article understandable to myself, it might be more reader-friendly in general. I started to wade in, but decided to leave that section mostly intact, as I have no idea what's truly important and what can be safely cut. I'd suggest a bold halving, if not fourth-ing of the entire plot section, making it a more basic and not-quite-as-intimidating outline, instead of a step by step. -- Sarranduin (Talk) 23:07, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
