Sales & Reception problem
Whatever happened to the section? It disappeared. I mean its likely it got edited, duh. But when accessing the edit page, the text is right there, yet it doesn't appear on the article. Can someone fix these "glitch"?Dragon DASH 20:41, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- This likely isn't a glitch, but "comment code." By adding a specific html tag in front of and after some text, it becomes invisible. Like this next sentence, for example: Now then, Wikipedia users do this to remove unverifiable info from a page, but they want to keep it there just in case someone finds a source. Successful good article nomination
I am glad to say that this article which was nominated for good article status has succeeded. This is how the article, as of June 10, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: Yes, this is fine. Minor copyediting is always good, but no big problems.
- 2. Factually accurate?: Characters section needs more referencing, but otherwise OK.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: Fine.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Always tricky with games, but you're OK here.
- 5. Article stability? No edit wars.
- 6. Images?: Fine.

WHOA!
Apparently, when Sora is speaking with Vexen in the memory-simulation of Twilight Town in Re: Chain of Memories, Sora says "Don't fuc* with me!" Doesn't this deserve a wholehearted mention on this page?! I mean, Sora said one of the most powerful curse words that there is! And don't get rid of this Subject-y +-y thingy! I truly think this deserves a mention on this page!

Well, EXCUSE ME, Princess. It's a curse word and that's that. This disturbs me, as Kingdom Hearts is a game for CHILDREN.
- While I'm sure there are plenty of children that play the game, the target audience is a bit broader that just children. Also, the use of curse words in Japanese media is more frequent than it is in the US. If this was the first instance of curse words in video games, then it would be more notable, however since the language envelope in video games has been pushed for some time now, it is more like a drop in the bucket. While I agree with you that I don't think kids should here that, it is still only just a word and its occurrence is not that notable. - Your argument is poor, anonymous guy. "Curse word" according to whom? Why is it terrible? Why is it notable enough that some guy did such a poor translation, making some Japanese word into "fuck"? We're going to need something beyond your opinion on "fuck" as a basis. ' 19:04, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Have any of you even seen the scene? He says that word in Japanese. There's no avoiding it.
- I repeat: THAT'S ONLY HOW IT WAS TRANSLATED. It has some similar connotations in Japanese culture, but it's not something that's popularly needed to be censored.
