After having a glance of the article, I have decided to quick-fail it since it fails GA criteria 1a, 2a and 3b. The article has pervasive sourcing and prose issues, and omits several aspects regarding the subject's life

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar):   b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • "Then, peace with Byzantium was concluded. For his aid, Maurice received the Persian provinces of Armenia and Georgia, and received the abolition of the subsidies which had formerly been paid to the Persians." is unsourced.
  • "Music during the reign of Khosrau II" is unsourced.
  • The first two paragraphs of "Military exploits and early victories" are unsourced.
  • The first paragraph of "Invasion and Defeat by the Byzantine Empire" is unsourced.
  • "Meanwhile, back in Madinah, Abdullah told Muhammad how Khosrau had torn his letter to pieces and Muhammad's only reply was, 'May his kingdom tear apart'." is unsourced.
  • The article fails to mention the fact that Khosrau II thought that he was god.
  • The article fails to mention the fact that he ordered all his subjects to adhere to Monophytism, a move that was warmly received by Shirin.
  • The article fails to mention his eviction of Jews from Jerusalem.
  • What were some of the social changes of the Sasanian Empire under his rule?
  • The article fails to mention that David Levering Lewis, in his book God's Crucible: Islam and the Making of Europe, 570-1215, has describes Khosrau II as "vain", "vindicatively arrogant" and "heedless in advice". --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 03:09, 28 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
