Overstated disadvantage of non-Kelvin–Varley dividers?
editRe: "The fundamental disadvantage of this architecture is that resolution of 1 part in 1000 would require 1000 precision resistors.". Isn't that overstating it? Isn't it more like 30 in actual circuits that do not use Kelvin–Varley dividers, 10 resistors per decade (and shorting out if a value is 0)?
Isn't the real issue that those span many orders of magnitude and there are problems at the upper end (thermal noise) and lower end (contact resistance becomes a problem)?
Error in the circuit diagram
editFor example, the voltage over resistors 3 and 4 together in the first chain is 0,2 - 0,3V and not 0,2 - 0,4V as shown. All the voltages further up the chain need modifying to match. This also applies to the later stages. 81.200.197.164 (talk) 12:28, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
