rank as XO

It seems clear than Helo has been promoted, otherwise, Captain ?Aaron? would be XO, so Helo must be atleast a Captain if not Major... ?Aaron? was Tigh's XO when Adama had been shot. 132.205.44.133 04:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Maybe, but his rank doesn't seem to have been revealed yet. The official site says he was "promoted to XO", but nothing about rank. Rank (Lieutenant) and position (XO) aren't the same thing, though. Anything with the word "possibly" in it doesn't belong in the infobox. -- Fru1tbat 23:59, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Captain Aaron Kelly remains second in line, Helo is a captain, and Apollo is a Major (outranking Helo and Kelly...) 70.51.11.183 05:56, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

correction

Slight correction. Sharron was not taken to PEgasus to be "interrogated" by Thorn, she was still on Galactica.

Helo's negative impact

I've removed the "trivia" item in question, for now, and pasted it here:

  • Despite his heroic and selfless nature, nearly every major negative plot point on the show after the Cylon invasion stems from Helo's selfless act of allowing Baltar to take his seat on the Raptor during his and Boomer's evacuation of the planet in the mini-series. As a result of this act of noble self-sacrifice, Baltar was able to join the fleet and ultimately force the colony to settle on New Caprica, leading to the Cylon occupation of the new colony and the misery that followed.

It's interesting, but it looks like original research to me. I'd recommend discussing it here before adding it back and continuing the mini-revert-war that appears to be taking place.

It's not original research, it's key plot information placed in bullet form. For followers of the show this is useful in that it shows a very distinctive aspect of the character.

I'm not sure it's an reasonable argument actually, yes most of actions of Baltar have been negative to the human fleet, but without his help (finding the Cyclon device in the CIC in the miniseries, his wild guess at where to shoot the Cyclon Tylium refinery in "Hand of God". etc...) chances are good that the fleet would have been destroyed before they found New Caprica in the first place.
