Uzbek spelling edit

I have noticed that there is a revert war over inclusion of the Uzbek spelling in the lead. The only policy we have is MOS:LEADALT:

It is a little bit vague, but it does not limit the names in the lead to the official languages of the country. E.g German is not an official language in Poland but, according to the policy, we should have the German spelling in the lead because of the historical context. I think it is appropriate for a Kazakh village with 99% of Uzbek population to have Uzbek spelling in the lead together (obviously) with the Kazakh spelling. It does not suggest that Uzbek is an official language there or that Uzbeks should have special rights there or anything of that sort, it just acknowledges that Uzbek name is significant for this village Alex Bakharev (talk) 06:21, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

To be very precise , the inhabitants of this settlement speak their own language, which is considered a dialect of Uzbek language . Media literary Uzbek from Uzbekistan can not completely understand the language and fully locals who many centuries lived in isolation among the Kazakhs . Therefore, residents of Karabulak language is more similar to the Kazakh language although the locals consider themselves ethnic Uzbeks. It is not necessary to equate knowledge of the language and ethnic identity . Many in the U.S. consider themselves French , Italians, Germans, but that does not mean that they all know and speak French, Italian and German. Do you understand?95.161.227.254 (talk) 07:52, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
If you look at the attached photos you will not find the name or signs in the Uzbek language, this language is not particularly enjoy it, almost all signs and signage in the Kazakh language. you soon will find signs in Russian than in Uzbek. Follow your reasoning if it is wise to specify the name instead of the Uzbek in Russian as it is more common than the Uzbek language.95.161.227.254 (talk) 07:57, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've talked to a person from Karabulak, and I agree with Alex Bakharev, Uzbek language is actually in use in Karabulak; locals of the village have access to Uzbekistani TV channels; Kazakhstani TV channels (Otrar, ElnurTV, Qazaqstan Shimkent) include Uzbek-language shows in their broadcasting; even some newspapers, such as Janubiy Qozog'iston, Janub Jarchilari, Sayram sadosi, Chimkent oqshomi, Robita, and magazines: Kamalak, Boychechak are published in Uzbek. We're in the other languages do not translate into the languages of the title of city residents . for example in New York live many Russian it does not give us the right to call New York in Russian official "Noviy York". The question is not whether the Uzbek language used in Karabulak , no one denies the existence of knowledgeable people in Karabulak literary Uzbek. The question is posed differently, whether together with the approved name of the village in wikipedia indicate the name of the item in another foreign language, because only in this village inhabited by people of other nationalities. According to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan official names of all settlements of Kazakhstan indicated only in the Kazakh and Russian languages. On uzbekskomya language does not specify a location , correct English spelling was then specify the name of the Kazakh and russkomya languages and not in the Uzbek language in Kazakhstan which has no official status. 95.161.227.254 (talk) 10:59, 29 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
