Candy

Anyone else in favor of adding a picture - and more content - to the candy? 68.211.24.94 07:39, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Enjoy the fine taste of Jones Soda!

OK, look, this may be a cool drink and all but a few sentences here and there read like a commercial.

Some examples of wording one doesn't usually see in product descriptions on Wikipedia can be seen below. My intention is NOT to question any factual accuracy in these statements, but rather to illustrate how the wording sounds more like a brochure than an encyclopedia entry:

"The Jones Soda is a carbonated soft drink that has many unusual flavors that no other soft drink can offer. The bottles not only come with a different picture on each label but also words of wisdom under the caps."

"While some of these can be considered quite odd, it represents the originality that JSC has always stood for, and keeps its customers coming back."

Quit complaining. Its very true. Maybe if you tried a jones soda you would know that it is really neat and special. Ekulwyo 05:51, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

Needs to be re-worded. I love Jones, but they are not above wikipedia's rules.. 68.211.24.94 07:38, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

List of all flavors

Could someone come up with a list of all the flavors? It would be appreciated and seems like the kind of thing this article needs. Right now it's mostly about it's kooky thanksgiving sodas. Andrew zot 03:28, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Happy/Fun are the same flavor. One was the Canadian version of the other. There was also a flavor known as Bug Juice.

Okay, I thought I made this note, but there seem to be a pair of soda flavors missing from the list here. Some WalMart stores are selling Blueberry Pomegranate and Kiwi flavored Jones soda. As I said, I can provide a picture of one of the Blueberry Pomegranate cans, and a picture of the packaging and cans for the Kiwi flavor. I wish I could find the Blueberry Pomegranate again. It's delicious. --Digitalsabre 21:30, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes we should have a list of all the flavors. We should also have a list of all the Discontinued flavors. I know a few of the discontinued flavors are Fun/Happy (Same soda, Different names) Chocolate Fudge and Pink. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.31.70.98 (talk) 18:12, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Yea the list of flavors is under the related links. Also @Digitalsabre I do have a berry pomegranate in my house right now. Cant wait to taste it

financial success?

Aside from stating that the Thanksgiving line repeatedly sold out quickly, it isn't mentioned whether or not Jones soda has been successful over-all. This seems like something that would be a key point to the article.

well the stock price is down and no one talked about the CEO stepping down also. Also nothing about the founder.

They just has a massive layoff: http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/10/smallbusiness/jones_soda_layoffs.smb/index.htm They're also trying to sue a popular website for using their bottle's designs in a harmless social photoshop fling. That's bound to get them boycotted by the site's fans. http://www.somethingawful.com/d/legal-threats/jones-soda-lawsuit.php —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.236.142 (talk) 09:15, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Added To Softdrink Thingy

I added this in, so the Group that's working on this can check it over. *Alucard44

Lip Balm

I think they may have dropped the lip balm line--on the web page if you go to lip balm under products it redirects to candy. Almost all references to the product have been removed from the Jones website. Knowledgesmith 14:41, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Inverted Cane Sugar

The blurb about inverted cane sugar being the same as inverted sugar syrup...meaning the same thing as HFCS (A blend of fructose and glucose) is incorrect. Inverted Cane Sugar should actually read Inverted Cane Sucrose (A blend of water and pure cane sugar that is inverted to resemble the extreme sweeteness of 55% High Fructose Corn Syrup). The molecular property of the sugar is changed, but it is not HFCS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.217.60.17 (talk) 04:43, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Starbucks

Hmm... The article says that Starbucks no longer carries Jones, but I see it in my Starbucks all the time... Anyone know the truth about this? 68.80.194.15 (talk) 23:38, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

A lot of Starbucks give their managers some modest autonomy in ordering. That is to say that while the corporate contract is no longer in effect, regional managers may have power to stock the stores as they see fit. I don't know if this is the case, but it could be. --68.36.82.141 (talk) 16:14, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

did a total overhaul

I did a total overhaul of the article for about 6 hours today. It's my first major edit, so let me know what you think. I've got a bit more to add, but I just can't stand staring at it any more today. Let me know what I left out and I'll try to research it some more. I know the stuff on Energy and WhoopAss is weak, but I'm having trouble finding info on it. I'm going to try to contact Jones for additional information.

Slippyd 04:57, 11 March 2006 (UTC) Cub Foods should be added in to the list of stores that carry Jones; they had it before Target; I remember getting it from Cub in 2002.

Limited edition series

No mention of the limited edition series labels, featuring images of characters from The Goon and Emily the Strange comics [1], as well as Magic: The Gathering and punk rock themed sets? 12.233.146.130 (talk) 21:26, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
