Personal Life Section

I removed the Personal Life section as it was filled with mostly trivia information (see WP:BLP). --Ozgod 00:12, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Didn't he cheat on his wife repeatedly? If this is supposed to be biographical, that's certainly relevant.Corymichael780 (talk) 05:00, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Early Life

In this section it mentions that when he was 69 he was in a band called Destiny. Can we fix this clerical error, cite the information, or remove this as vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.227.222.91 (talk) 22:04, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Stamos/Coulier Confusion?

This entire article appears to be vandalized, merging Stamos with fellow Full House alum Dave Coulier, at least in name references. David973 (talk) 13:00, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Two And A Half Men

It has been announced that John Stamos is in the middle of talks with Warner Brothers to replace Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Men. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.114.69.2 (talk) 19:59, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Questionable Trivia facts remove

I believe the following to be false. If sources are not provided soon, I will remove these "facts" from the talk page.

  • Stamos is believed to enjoy both deep sea fishing and playing croquet.
  • Stamos intentionally gave a poor performance at his audition for the role of Professor X in X-Men in order to ensure that Patrick Stewart received the part.

The section about his early life should be tagged for revision. It is poorly written and there is no source referenced. http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/5651/Events/5651/JohnStamos_Grani_12253737_400.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Stamos,%20John

Maybe he should also have a Modern Culture section: He was mentioned in Step Brothers and Guardians of the Galaxyand more....121.222.7.3 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 09:05, 17 August 2014 (UTC)

Newer Photo Needed

Can someone not find a newer photo to place on this entry? The one on here now is 16 years old! T. White 06:05, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

So what? Why does everyone want a current photo? Doesn't an early-1990s photo make more sense, since that was when he was most popular? Anyway, this photo is CC-licensed, which is ideal; if it's to be replaced, it must be with another CC- or GFDL-licensed one. —Chowbok 16:48, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
No, that does not make sense. This isn't an archive; it's supposed to be updated info about the person and the photo should be updated as well. Besides, it's an awful photo and does not capture the actor's usual appearance.
I disagree—where does it say photos should be current? It's an encyclopedia, not People Magazine—but if you want to replace it, feel free. Just be sure that it's freely-licensed, otherwise it'll be deleted. —Chowbok

That picture is horrible, put a better one up.

If you have a problem with the current photo, you're more than welcome to edit the page on your own. I doubt complaining about the photo will get it changed. Human historian 09:43, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

A Yeah John Stamos looks HORRIFIC! I used to like him but now I'm in LOVE with Neyo! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.225.137.13 (talk) 13:26, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Brother?

Does John Stamos have a brother? This article says no, the first Big Gay Al episode article says yes. Inconsistency abounds. --Fire Star 火星 01:05, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

No, Richard Stamos was made up for that episode of South Park.

Publicity photo

There is no reason to have a fair-use image in this article, especially as we already have a free one. That image is okay to illustrate the character's article, but not this one. Please do not re-add. —Chowbok 16:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

OK! Jacklee 21:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

I removed the hyperlink place in the infobox because A: it was showing the text of the link, not a picture and B: It was creating some major overlap with the rest of the text of the intro. But if someone wants to put a personal picture or a fair use picture that they've uploaded, I think it might improve the scheme of the intro. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Republicofjosh01 (talkcontribs) 05:03, 23 August 2009 (UTC) This is the edit that caused the problem. I've since restored the free image. By the way a fair-use image can't be used in box about a living person. 15:23, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Other Works

Perhaps an inclusion of his cameo role in an episode of Andy Milinokis —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.222.214.9 (talk) 15:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree, there is a link to him on the Milonakis entry but no link here. I would add it but don't want to mess up the table. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.119.62.12 (talk) 04:00, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I just added the appearance on the table. IndulgentReader (talk) 06:14, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

2007 Australian promotional tour

Stamos has now admitted to US magazine The Advocate that he was drunk during his infamous early morning interview with Kerri-Anne Kennerley on Australian TV. (He had previously stated it was just jetlag or sleeping pills as mentioned in the "Personal Life" section). http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/sydney-confidential/john-stamos-was-plastered-on-kerri-anne-kennerley-lounge-in-tv-interview/story-e6frewz0-1225788098519 Swampy 203.48.101.131 (talk) 22:15, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Could someone please add a television credit for 1 episode of Law & Order: SVU. Episode is #22 "Bang" from season 12. Iceynoah (talk) 17:52, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

Not of English descent

His mother spent part of her life in England. That does not mean her or John are of English descent, because they have no blood links. Categories that are false/unsourced, shouldn't be there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.42.3.116 (talk) 21:35, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 13 June 2015 - typo of sister's name

His sister's name is Janeen (not Jannen).

In the Early life section, please change "Stamos has two younger sisters, Jannen and Alaina, who are both teachers." to "Stamos has two younger sisters, Janeen and Alaina, who are both teachers."

ľWhat is that poorly written part about his early life? Sounds like bull to me. Also, punctuation and spelling are horrible! This article should be tagged to have that fixed. I would, but I know nothing of John Stamos' early life. Even if the incident about the stripper at his birthday party is true, it needs to be re-written. Also littered with inaccuracies. Apparently, if someone spends a few days or weeks in England, they are "of English descent" like John and his mother. John is of Greek and Irish descent.
