The following parts of this article are biased and subjective. Editting to add some more of the facts as I was one of the students who was there and signed his petition. I in all ways believe there should have been the availability for support of that kind. In addition, what he did with his settlement money was beyond generous and I commend him in every way for doing it.

"In other words, the school district chose not to actively support its LGBTQ students, staff, and faculty." - This was not a decision of support, there was almost no support for any clubs at that school, in addition, their choice was based off the fact that the school board did not want to segregate people by allowing for the formation of clubs based on people's differences.

"15 per cent of Sir James Dunn Collegiate and Vocational School" - What is not said here is the amount of students that declined to sign the petition. He asked everyone he could at the school, and 15 percent signed, which is a good amount, but at least 25 percent of the school's population declined to sign. There wasn't really a big call for a club of that kind at Sir James Dunn. Talouin 05:13, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Added the neutrality tag because this article is displayed with an implicit bias that does not show many of the surrounding facts at the time. Most of the history section is written in a manor that does not objectively describe the parties involved.Talouin 05:44, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do to fix it up, but I'm not really sure what I can... I mostly just grabbed the information from the Jer's Vision website, but it is a newish group and there isn't alot of outside press about them, though I remember seeing a few articles in the Ottawa Citizen and the Ottawa Sun, as well as tv interviews, that pretty much just follow this line. I've been trying to dig them up to no avail, however. Arianna 21:17, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

The only part of it that's really biased is the history section. It's a great charity however it was pretty-much born out of a sort of scandal. The largest problem lies in the fact that Jeremy saw a lot of discimination where there wasn't discrimination. Personally, I liked the guy, thought he was nice. However he was very up-front about everything and people expressed what they didn't like. Whenever someone expressed they didn't like something (be it in a proper or improper manner) Jeremy stated it was either racism or discrimination. To clarify on what the program he wanted to be instituted in the school was, he wanted gay rights posters hung up on every bulletin board and in the office, a Gay Pride club (clubs at that school required a mentor, I'm not positive if he found one for that idea) and several other things that I can't remember. He really, really pushed it so a lot of people signed his petition so that he'd stop bugging them as much as many people signed it because they actually believe in equality rights. He sued the school for discrimination as he brought the idea as far as the educational board of trustees whom also told him no to the campaign. I don't know how much animosity he faced over being a racial minority or being a homosexual, however I'm sure that he faced at least some. The school was terrible for bullying because it is a primarily jock-clique school. The portions of the history that are a bit skewed are the points that state the school itself opposed his diversity. Had Jeremy not taken the $5000 out of court settlement and created a charity, I would have thought that his action of suing the school was horrible. But he's a humanitarian so he didn't think about himself, but thought about others. I'm not in any way stating that Jeremy's a bad person, but some of the story needs to be straightened out a bit. It kind-of seems like self promotion for Jeremy and a huge stab at the school and school board. I'll try and edit the parts as best I can aswell. It's hard to describe what was going on while remaining objective in this matter. Talouin 09:24, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry I haven't had a chance to have a go at it yet, exams end tonight so I'll have a go at it tomorrow to be sure. Arianna 16:42, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Um, ok I guess it's been a month since I said I'd have another go at it... Oops. I'll try this weekend Arianna 20:51, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

there are definite verification issues in the article and the tone is not as POV as could be. I also wonder whether the entire school business shouldn`t go in a separate 'Jeremy' article, the text as is is rather skewed. --Scarpe (talk) 14:52, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Does this need to be an article?

How noteworthy is this charity? Also as an aside, what sort of humanitarian names the charity after himself?98.164.81.3 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 06:32, 4 July 2011 (UTC).
