Birth defects?
Can ionizing radiation cause birth defects? Surely there must be some citable research on this. I think there is a widespread belief in the population that there is a causal link between radiation and birth defects / "mutants"
There might even be a "in popular culture"-section. In particular the super hero genre features lots of supposed effects of ionizing radiation. The Hulk, Spiderman, Teenage mutant ninja turtles etc.
