The previous version was deleted for some reason, perhaps because of concern about copyright or NPOV.
Evidence that "Invective" is in the public domain is now cited, and more will come if I can find a
first edition of Harmonium with the venues for previously published poems. Also subjunctive mood
and qualifiers like "arguably" and "perhaps" have been employed, by way of tacking toward NPOV. Buttel's The Making of Harmonium has first-publication information for all poems in its index, but "Invective Against Swans" isn't listed in the index, so Buttel isn't helpful in this instance. This is too bad, because his book has been out since 1967 and hasn't been contradicted with regard to its first-publication information. Rats 16:55, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
I've responded to the "wikify" tag by making several changes. Sections have been introduced and some spelling changed (reimagine-->re-imagine). If the tag is put back on, something here about what needs wikifying would be helpful. Rats 15:18, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]
