I think a citation may be needed for the following: "[...] is a major regulator of eosinophil accumulation in tissues, and can modulate eosinophil behavior at every stage from maturation to survival."

Janeway's Immunobiology (8th ed) pg 587 suggests the following: "However, transgenic animals overexpressing IL-5 have increased numbers of eosinophils (eosinophilia) in the circulation but not in their tissues, indicating that the migration of eosinophils from the circulation into tissues is regulated separately, by a second set of controls. The key molecules in this case are CC chemokines. Most of these cause chemotaxis of several types of leukocute, but three are particularly important in attracting and activating eosinophils, and have been named the eotaxins: CCL11 (eotaxin 1), CCL24 (eotaxin 2), and CCL26 (eotaxin 3)."
