Exit 14

Why is exit 14 listed as the clockwise exit and clockwise counter-clockwise (TMF T - C 18:30, 21 June 2006 (UTC)) entrance for the Inner Loop? For both eastbound and westbound I-490, the Inner Loop leaves and enters I-490 at exit 13 (eastbound doing so via a rare left exit (rare for Rochester, anyway)), so to say that the Inner Loop leaves and enters at exit 14 is misleading. --TMF T - C 18:08, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

This is a CW exit and CCW entrance on the loop - the part that runs along I-490. That part is signed as part of the loop - see [1] and [2]. --SPUI (T - C) 20:40, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

1. I live in Rochester and I travel along this part of the Loop and I-490 every other day, so I know very well that this section of 490 is part of the Loop.
2. So by CW and CCW, you mean the exit itself then. On a side note, it should be noted that there is no onramp at exit 14 for I-490 westbound. Likewise, there is no exit traveling east on 490 for Plymouth Avenue (i.e., no exit 14), just an onramp (an onramp that is expected to be temporarily closed within the next month or so due to the Troup-Howell Bridge project).
Sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the first point in #2. --TMF T - C 22:09, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

History

I know its not directly related to the use of the road today but its reason for being built during the 60's is an important part of the history of the road. As anyone who lives in rochester can attest to it still acts as a divider today between the black and white parts of the city —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Godofpeople (talkcontribs).

Something as controversial as this needs to be attributed to a reliable source. Also, whether or not it is sourced, it must conform to the neutral point of view policy. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 04:40, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
