It redirects to inferior alveolar artery and neglects the inferior alveolar vein.

Even though the inferior alveolar vein does not have a page, is a true structure and is important in dentistry and anatomy. It drains from the mental vein, courses through the mandibular canal in the inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle with the corresponding artery and nerve. It exits the canal on the medial side of the mandibular ramus and drains into the maxillary nerve.
