Some aspects could be improved
editThe first sentence "an inducer is a molecule that starts gene expression" seems a little bit of vague to me. Because Gene expression is a broad process that includes transcription, translation, etc. For example,you said once the Allolactose binds to the lac repressor the transcription starts. You also mentioned that the increase of gene expression. Moreover, the start of transcription also needs lots of other factors like promoters. So I would say, rather than "start the gene expression", "regulate the level or time of gene expression" seems better. JiyaoZ (talk) 01:12, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
