It seems some people distinguish inchoative and inceptive verbs by whether they refer to change in state or change in activity/process, respectively. Is this a common distinction? (Also, I've seen ingressive verbs used to refer to inceptive verbs, does anyone know of an authoritative guide to terminology here?) --Kiwibird (talk) 11:20, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Latin inchoative verbs edit
I'm not sure if "poscere" is an inchoativum. As far as I have learnt Latin inchoativa end in -scere and loose their "sc" in tempore perfecto.
