"MTP mode only, no UMS firmware available" to use the UMS connection, connect your iRiver via USB and turn it on while pressing the O ( right click ) button. works for me, then i upgraded the firmware to rockbox ( www.rockbox.org ) moe options, more decoding features, compatibility and plugins.
