editThere are lots of references which give the name as Hydroaéroplane Caudron-Fabre. I shall move the article and if good evidence comes to light for some thing else then the re-direct will remain. The aircraft almost certainly was NOT Caudron Type Caudron-Fabre.--Petebutt (talk) 03:55, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
- Well, it's the name that Hauet, one of the few authors to specialise in Caudron aircraft, uses. Caudron-Fabre is snappier, I agree. What's your best source for the longer form? Agree it sounds plausible and is the sort of descriptive name that folk might have used in the the days when seaplanes were still novel. They (and manufactures) tended to be vague about names. I wonder if it appeared in any of the Caudron contemporary catalogues. Cheers.TSRL (talk) 08:23, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
- Just google it, but a case could be made for just plain Caudron-Fabre, Les hydravions des frères CAUDRON by Hartmann uses Caudron-Fabre, but describes the aircraft thus: L’hydro aéroplane Caudron. Maybe it is better as just Caudron-Fabre, or Caudron-Fabre (amphibian).--Petebutt (talk) 09:20, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
