The line If it ever did exist, the drainage of the marshes under Saddam Hussein would have destroyed it as an island in any case should be removed because :
1. The unsourced information appears to be original research.
2. There are later sources which make claim to having seen Hufaidh AFTER Saddam Hussein's reign and drainage of the marshes.
3. This legendary island is believed by locals to be a semi-spiritual phenomenon which is guarded by Jinn which would make any secular draining of the marshes irrelevant.
If there are no objections I will delete the above-mentioned information and will be adding new information as well.
