This is quite a good article with some minor flaws that need to be taken care of:

• In the infobox, you give his "years of service" in the SA. While that is in itself problematic, since the SA is not really a military, but rather a paramilitary organisation, this is not the biggest issue. The years of service 1922-30 cannot be correct, since he was a member of the DNVP from 1922-26.

• The school names are not correct German. Words like Köllnisches or Königsstädtisches are adjectives. The school names are therefore Königstädtisches Gymnasium and Luisenstädtisches Gymnasium (today known as de:Heinrich-Schliemann-Oberschule (Gymnasium)). As for Köllnisches, I cannot make out which school you mean, you should check the correct school name again. If you don't find one, give it as "attended Volksschule in Kölln".

• Assassination: According to this newspaper article, Wessel was shot at the door of his appartment by three men. Your written source seems to say two men, but the author of the German article is a history professor. I'll try and check that information later in the library. What should definitely be mentioned is that there apparently was a connection between his rent problems and his murder.

• Grave: From what I take from German sources, the grave of Wessel himself was leveled in 1945. His father's grave meanwhile was not levelled until 2013 (see here). It could also be made clearer that the grave became a place of Neo-Nazi rallying after 1990. Also interesting: On 9 November 2011, a leftist group sprayed the Wessel tombstone pink and added the word Keine Ruhe für Nazis! ("No rest for Nazis!"), see here.

The article currently says his grave was vandalized after World War II, and since the war (in Europe) ended on 2 May, there was still 7 months left of that year where it could have been trashed, so I think the current statement is acceptable. Those seem to be the issues that I could find. If you can address them, it's a pass.

PS: The alleged funeral speech one can find on YouTube is actually a speech by Goebbels in 1933 called 14 Jahre Nationalsozialismus. Just to avoid confusion. The video of his funeral also appears to me as if it's a later work, not actual footage. Zwerg Nase (talk) 17:17, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

I think one YouTube link in the external link section about the Wessel Leib is fine. Furthermore, this statement proves how careful you must be when citing old, historically important event clips on YouTube. An earlier version of the review in 2009 mentioned a couple of ice plants marking the grave ( for HW and his father) What happened to them? 86.157.200.252 (talk) 22:01, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
