Maintenance template removal proposal

edit

I'd like to put to a vote/discussion the removal of the maintenance template from the Honeywell JetWave page. On Feb. 28, 2022, 3 new reliable secondary sources that are independent were added to the article to support its case for notability. The sources added included: [1]; [2]; [3]. Upon reaching consensus, please proceed with removal of the template. Thank you for your consideration.

@Mcheung90: Thanks for starting this conversation. I was the one who added the notability tag, and I think it would be okay to remove it for now, unless anyone else objects. I'll wait a week or so and see if anyone else replies here before removing the tag. Also, please remember to sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~) in the future. Cheers! - Whisperjanes (talk) 21:05, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Actually, on closer look/second thought, it seems you would need more independent and in-depth sources to show notability. Aviation Today includes native advertising, and per their media kit, I'm unsure if they visibly mark which articles are "partner content", unless it is on the homepage. The second source you included seems like a paid advertisement or at least not independently written, per the paragraph ad at the end of the article. The other source (Satellite Today) doesn't seem to pass WP:CORPDEPTH and WP:ORGIND, since it is routine coverage in a trade publication, and it also includes native advertising/partner content that is not consistently marked as such.[1]
The question that needs to be answered is: Is this product independently notable enough that it needs its own, separate Wikipedia article, or should this content be mentioned or merged elsewhere on Wikipedia? With that in mind, please read through WP:PRODUCT if you haven't already, and while looking for sources to show notability, WP:SIRS might also be helpful. - Whisperjanes (talk)
@Whisperjanes: Thank you for the guidance. While I can assure you the Aviation Today and Satellite Today articles are not branded or paid content, I'll do some digging to identify additional sources that can address the question at hand. Is there a specific number of independent and in-depth sources needed to meet the threshold of notability? I don't see a specific number cited anywhere in the Wikipedia documents. Thank you. @Whisperjanes: I've found two more references to Honeywell JetWave that meet the threshold of significant coverage by independent sources and support a case for notability of this topic. These references include: [4] and [5]. If I incorporate these references into the existing article, would these suffice to meet the standard of notability and removal of the maintenance template? Thank you, again! Mcheung90 (talk)(~~~~)

Hello. I'd like to follow-up on the removal of the maintenance template from this page. In addition to the originally provided sources, I've identified two more that meet the threshold of significant coverage by independent sources and support the case for the topic being notable. These additional sources include: [6] and [7]. Can I please get confirmation and I'll add these sources to the page so the maintenance template can be removed? Thank you! Mcheung90 (talk)(~~~~)
