Evolution

edit

I believe homo sapiens are evolving, but to which end I cannot predict. There seems to be favouritism towards developed countries, meaning those living in the third world are worst off. The reasons vary from cultural to socio-economical. There is a greater concentration of genetic variety amongst these people, especially in Africa. This would sustain diversity and prolong our existence as a spicies, but desease, femine and war also seems to be putting these people at risk of extinction. As a people many of them seem to lack the genetic traits to be self sufficient and as a result, are unable to eliviate themselves from the inevitable. A new spicies of man is coming and its arrival will be met with fear and lack of tolerance, as is always the case between different groups of people. We are a rapidly evolving spicies, highly adaptable and highly intelligent, to the point of self-distruction. Thabang Ngoma, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, RSA.

Does this article need to exist?

edit

One made up word by one guy, supported by one little paragraph. Seriously? --207.159.180.63 (talk) 15:07, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

As a Google search indicates, the word has been used by several people so I don't Yves Gingras coined it. I therefore suggest we either expand the article or we merge it with the List of alternative names for the human species article. --Loremaster (talk) 20:11, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've decided that we should merge the content of the Homo technologicus article with the List of alternative names for the human species article and redirect the former to the latter. --Loremaster (talk) 20:19, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Done. --Loremaster (talk) 02:20, 14 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
