Merge articles edit

I think that all the seprate homewood articles should be merged, like oakland and other places have.--Sonicobbsessed (talk) 23:23, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree, there should probably be one "Homewood (Pittsburgh)" article with the three neighborhoods represented in them as different sections of the article (West Homewood, North Homewood, and South Homewood). Leepaxton (talk) 10:40, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
OK, merged all three into this article. We'll see how it goes from here. Leepaxton (talk) 12:01, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Random B.S. edit

This may seem random, but being a white Pittsburgh resident, I wouldn't dare walk into Homewood. I wouldn't drive through without a good bit of fuel left and I wouldn't stop until I'm well out of the neighborhood. Many people have been shot there for being white. -The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.127.152.35 (talk) 18:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC).Reply

Not only is it random, but it's really not true and likely based on views that are ignorant, paranoid and racist. I'm whiter than Wonder Bread, and I've been to Homewood a few times and haven't yet been shot. I'm not too worried about going there in the daylight, or really any neighborhood in Pittsburgh for that matter, and I think there are worse areas and neighborhoods out there than Homewood. And for the record, don't forget to sign your statements next time, jagoff. Leepaxton (talk) 10:40, 9 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Jagoff is the correct term! I'm a white woman, and I lived on the edge of Homewood in the early 80's, worked there in 2017-2019 doing home surveys and grocery audits. Homewood is a depressed area, but fears of crime are overblown. Elinde7994 (talk) 01:22, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Population- updated the population statistics from 2000 to 2010

Points of Interest- added a section on places Homewood is known for -Removed Homewood cemetery from Points of Interest as it is not actually in or abutting Homewood despite the name.--Elinde7994 (talk) 13:12, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
