There are at least two articles about gender discrimination lawsuits involving women engineers on Wikipedia see Category:Gender discrimination lawsuits. Should this be added to this page? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:43, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Not unless they relate to the overall history of women in engineering in some way. Since it's only 2 lawsuits and you didn't note the cases, I can't see what they are easily, but basically with so few cases they would have to be something involving a very high profile woman or something that set a precedent for many other women in the field for it to relate to engineering history specifically rather than just to general gender discrimination. Missing stuff

The article indicates that a lot of women were entering engineering in the 70s and 80s in the USA but doesn't explain why. I'm pretty sure there are sources out there supporting all the programs to get women to enter engineering and the fact that companies bidding government contracts, which provided a lot of work especially during Reagan era, were being pushed to have diverse teams that included women engineers. Also, if you are going to make a point about decline in degrees in comp sci for whatever reason, there are likely other fields where the number of women increased given that there was an increased percentage of women entering the field overall. I agree that this reads like somebody's opinion essay rather than an NPOV description of women's participation in engineering, and frankly it looks biased. It seems strange to leave out the history of women in engineering in Eastern Europe especially after the foundation of the Soviet Union and its rapid modernization, and in the so-called East Bloc subsequently—not to mention elsewhere in the world, North, South, East, and West (Japan and China, and Latin America, for instance?)
