Format conversions?

edit

Has anyone done a conversion of (a representation of) Hershey fonts into a conventional modern font format like otf or ttf? I feel like I've seen one. Blythwood (talk) 08:07, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is harder to do than it looks, for many reasons (including: the file format itself, not-even-close-to-ASCII encoding, and how to convert from Hershey's centreline format to outlines required by OTF/PFA). Many of the fonts don't contain more than A-Z, a-z and 0-9, so even making an OTF for basic ASCII coverage is hard. While Kiosk Fonts haven't yet released their quite nuanced version, please accept my humble effort: AVHershey-OTF. --scruss (talk) 21:06, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
