Nazi years

I am wondering whether you had to flee Germany during the Nazi era to escape stigmatisation after the War. It seems to me wholly unreasonable and unbalanced to devote such a large proportion of this article to these issues of Karajan's "support" for the Nazi Party during a period of dictatorship when the ability to pursue your occupation or profession depended on such membership. I wish the nazi hunting element who avidly patrol Wikipedia content looking to revise and contribute to articles were more strictly controlled by the website's editing system. Most annoying is the presumption of guilt that Karajan was in some extraordinary way culpable for the crimes against humanity carried out at this time when in fact nothing has been found or linked to him. From this point of view I might well be investigated or disparaged by being related to Air Chief Dowding over the bombing of Dresden at the end of the War resulting in the mass destruction and murder of civilians without military purpose.

I suppose this will be deleted too! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7C:E0AC:3200:8DBE:EB53:B6BF:FD0B (talk) 21:33, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
