The article is wrong when saying that "After the World War II, the German majority was expelled and the town was renamed Havlíčkův Brod." Since the first half of 15th century, there was no german majority. The article rightly says, that "Brod was sacked on 22 January 1422 by Jan Žižka" and that "the town was resettled in 1429". But this also meant that national structure of the town was completely changed and since then, Brod (even still called "Německý") began city with Czech majority. Renaming of the city in 1945 from "Německý" to "Havlíčkův" was intertwinned with wider anti German sentiment. But majority of population of the town was Czech ever since 15th century. After all, the city had even no significant German majority.
