I thought it was on this talkpage that there was a dicussion about Stamp's Mill re Brockton Point; I guess it may be on [[Talk:Brockton Point]. In any case I found a sueful resoruce for people wanting to expand this or related articles: Early Shipping in Burrarrd Inlet: 1863-1870, F.W. Howay which also has the proper corporate name for the mill and lots of info in particular vessels, captains and shipments, as well as some of the best detail I've yet seen on Moodyville.Skookum1 (talk) 16:15, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Gastown? edit
How odd not to see Gastown mentioned at all here; only "the new settlement", as if the name of Gastown were unwelcome...I'll be back to amend this some; the mill was largely a barracks, not a "company town" until Gastown grew around it and houses on teh mill property were under company jurisdiction; but it was Gastown that was the settlement and it definitely was NOT a company town.Skookum1 (talk) 09:19, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
