The way the article is written suggests that soft sell is more manipulative than hard sell. In reality, hard sell is both aggressive and manipulative. What makes soft sell different is that soft sell focuses on reputation and relationship. Hard sell wants to make every sale and sacrifices reputation and relationship for the sake of the sale. This is a poor business strategy because although the hard sell approach will have great success in the beginning, the hard salesman makes it harder to make sales in the future. The soft salesman sacrifices sales for the sake of preserving reputation and relationships. Therefore the soft salesman may have delayed success but each sale the soft salesmen sacrifices makes it easier to make more sales in the future. While the hard salesman has more success in the immediate short term, the soft salesman has more success in the long run.Bejjinks (talk) 17:41, 4 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
