Pls read before editing article

Ok we have a problem that Information keeps getting deleted..it is there to help readers to understand the topic....Most have no clue the difference between YDNA and mtDNA so we have gone out of our way to make the article more legible to the average person...We have no dough that people would want to know that there is a difference.. and this article is most likely there first introduction to American Genetics ....As for C3b..pls read and notice that they also carry a Q haplo mutation specifically Q*............An encyclopedia is here to help people navigate and understand topics.. not impede there navigating the topic ... And reason 3 most articles that link here talk about YDNA and mtDNA so we need to cover this a bit..The led that mentions mtDNA is not enough, so we added a subsection so people can read a bit about and if they like click on the link ....Pls see....Models of migration to the New World#Genetics and Indigenous peoples of the Americas#Genetics and so on......Now if you think a new article called Indigenous America genetics should be made in its place pls do so..but until then there is no need to delete peoples referenced work!! This is a B-Class article..not some stub Buzzzsherman (talk) 19:13, 5 January 2010 (UTC)This user values third opinions and occasionally provides one.Reply

That is not standard for the DNA Wikipedia articles. I have never seen a y-DNA article discuss in detail mtDNA and I have written or edited a number of articles on on both subjects. It is actually more confusing. It should never be included in the article. It is not difficult to go research information on mtDNA, genetic drift, etc. Put link or note at bottem of page. Do not start writing a new articles at the end of the Haplogroup Q1a3a article. Stick to discussing Haplogroup Q1a3a. Thanks!- Brout8 (talk) 17:36, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
