Sorry...wikipedia doesn't allow that to give personal information. Was Haim Saban one of the co-founders of DIC animation corporation? DIC (DiC Entertainment ) is the world's 2nd largest animation producer, based in a number of countries like Luxembourg, the USA, France, Italy, Spain and Japan. Saban with former co-employee Andy Heyward now the CEO of CBS television, was in the early days of DIC. They created memorable cartoons like Inspector Gadget, the Littles and Seven Cities of Gold in the 1980s. If it weren't for Saban and his creative genius, TV animation won't survive into the 1990's and today (of course, Disney and Warner Bros. fare better, then DiC under Saban's management proved his worth). Before Saban left DIC, he helped Marathon, a France-based animation firm and Cartoon Network studios under media mogul Ted Turner get in agreement with DIC. Saban and Turner made successful cartoon serieses together: Captain Planet and the Planeteers taught children on environmental issues in the early 1990's. 207.200.116.195 07:12, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Potentially problematic tag in Univision article

I was led to this page from the Univision article. It referred to Saban as a Jewish-Egyptian billionaire. Is this insensitive? Is the Jewish adjective intended to distinguish him from Muslims? Why do we identify people as Jews? I don't recall people mentioning Ted Turner's religion. Dogru144 05:01, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Why doesn't this article have a picture of Haim? It should be fairly easy to get one. In fact: Bam. Here's a picture for the page. Adding a picture to an article isn't just a copy-paste thing. A proper photo needs to be uploaded to the wiki server first, but most importantly there must be a proof that it complies with all the copyrights requirements. Shalom11111 (talk) 00:33, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

5 refers to the New York times article, but there is nothing in this article which contains the quoted information. Searches of "Republican" "Bush" "Donat" and "Re-elec" turn up nothing. The article references "Kussa Mahchi" as a pseudonym frequently used by Mr. Saban and his production company. "Kussa Mahchi" means "stuffed zucchini" (or squash) in Arabic. This is a very popular dish in Mr. Saban's native Egypt. It might be worth mentioning that the pseudonym has an actual meaning. includes a statement, that both TV stations are among the top 3 German TV channels. The underlying source: https://www.forbes.com/2003/03/17/cx_da_0317topnews.html

mentioned the legal entity of both TV stations as Germany's largest commercial broadcaster. In addition, this website states, that both TV stations are not within the top 3: http://meedia.de/2017/01/02/tv-jahr-2016-em-pusht-ard-und-zdf-rtl-prosieben-und-sat-1-mit-schwaechsten-marktanteilen-seit-ueber-20-jahren/ My suggestion would be, to shorten the first sentence of the second paragraph like this: ProSiebenSat.1, is Germany's largest commercial television broadcasting company, which owns five German TV channels,

On August 12, 2021, a lawsuit was filed against Haim Saban, Saban Capital Group, and Saban Real Estate by a Penn State University student and his mother. According to the 89-page Complaint, which was filed in U.S. District Court - Chicago, Haim Saban was the owner of off-campus student apartments, "The Bryn", located in State College, Pennsylvania, which targeted low-income college students to lure them into leasing apartments that are uninhabitable, with no working appliances. Per the Complaint, "the students are not allowed to view the apartments before paying the Defendants and signing leases, they're required to pay several months rent in advance, and the management Cardinal Group Management, makes false representations and ommissions about the true conditions of the apartments, and sends the victims to collections if they refuse to pay or try to end their leases due to the fraud. The apartments are infested with black mold. The true conditions of the apartment, and the fraud is discovered at the time of move-in."

The Complaint states that Haim Saban was fully aware of the fraud scheme during the time it was going on and not only failed to stop it, but instead tried to extort more money from the victims via a local State College attorney. Could someone please add the correct pronunciation of his name? For years I was pronouncing his sir name "Sah-baun". But I watch the segment from The Daily Show, and Jon Stewart pronounced his name as "High'm Say-bin". So what is it? Sarujo (talk) 04:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Judging by the pronunciation of his name in Hebrew and how Larry King pronounced the surname, I would pronounce it as /hɑːˈiːm səˈbɑːn/.
