Glyph repertoires edit
I think the glyph is somewhat problematic... The Javanese font is not implemented in every computer so it will look like a hectic field of boxes to default user. Even after acquiring the font, one must use Firefox and activate SIL Graphite for it to be rendered correctly. In this case, maybe it's best to show glyphs in images, but I guess it's also impractical, since it will require sheer number of it.
Considering this problem, I think full glyph repertoire are too overwhelming and not necessary. And if it is indeed important, it should be arranged in an easy-to-read table resembling a conjunct consonant table like in the Devanagari article. Alteaven (talk) 06:49, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for pointing the Devanagari article. From the technology perspective, since Firefox 22, the Graphite has been turned on by default. From template perspective, the way I set it up, the article uses Template:Javanese glyph, and transcluded using a simple line of code, such as: {{Javanese glyph|ꦤ|n}}. Therefore, one can edit the template (remove things which are not important, etc.) and all the pages that uses the template will be updated accordingly. But from my point of view, the glyph table is important, and there's no reason not to include it in the article, because it's talking about a specific glyph variations, not the whole Javanese script. (and there's already a disclaimer in the top of each page, saying that this page uses Javanese script). Bennylin (talk) 13:57, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
