Talk:HP ProLiant

Latest comment: 17 years ago by Dgstangel

It has been suggested that Proliant be merged into the HP main page. While this makes sense and I don't think that would be a bad thing, I note that there exists a separate page for Dell Poweredge servers and suggest that both entries should be treated the same for sake of consistency. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xylog (talkcontribs)

Note that the PowerEdge article has been nominated for deletion at least twice, and is quite controverial. It contains more information than this article. Neither article should exist, in my opinion, because the product lines aren't notable enough to justify their own unique coverage. -- Mikeblas 14:46, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Regarding this debate, I am wondering: how would we add articles for each of the individual product lines in the ProLiant product family (or PowerEdge product lines, for that matter)? One logical answer might be that we could use the ProLiant article here to begin documenting the various server lines. I have not done much looking around Wikipedia to see how other simillar taxonomies are organized, so will merely raise the question here for now. Dgstangel 20:38, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
