General
  • The article uses "semifinals", "semi-finals", and "semi finals", which looks rather odd. Need to pick one and stick with it. "Semi-finals" seems like the correct choice to me.
Went with semifinals, it has been the choice for other similar articles
References
  • There is one dead link.[1]
  • Taking the first citation as an example, it says that the publisher is The Guardian, with a link to the newspaper. If this is a newspaper report, then the newspaper's name should be formatted as The Guardian, but in this case it seems like the publisher is the newspaper's web site. In other words, the publisher is either "guardian.co.uk" or, better I think, "Guardian News and Media".
I think the assumption was that most of the articles on the website were also published in the paper however that seems unlikely given the volume of online coverage. I've changed to link to "guardian.co.uk" wiki article mostly because refering to "Guardian News and Media" would cause issues when similarly referencing The Times (published by Times Newspapers Limited, a subsidiary of News International which is then owned by the News Corporation group).
  • I think that link to the results web site right at the top of this section sticks out like a sore thumb. Is there any reason why that shouldn't be in an External links section?
The point is that all the results are contained there. Without it there could be calls to reference each individual result. I'm all for moving it to external links, or getting rid of it altogether as the website will most likely be taken down within a year, but until the official report is published, normally a few years after the conclusion of the Games, there is no cover all reference. What I'd do is to make a general comment either at the end of the lead or in the Medalists section that all of the results are taken from the official Vancouver 2010 web site, and follow that with an inline citation. Malleus Fatuorum 14:52, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks for addressing the relatively minor issues I brought up. I'm not certain that the external link to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics site is necessary now that's been used as an inline citation, but that's your choice. Malleus Fatuorum 22:21, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
