Required supplementary information merge edit

I don't think RSI needs it's own article. There's just not enough for it to stand on its own. That information can easily be added into this one. Amalas =^_^= 15:54, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Required supplementary information merge edit

You're right, the RSI article can be deleted, I unlinked the two pages that referenced it. --Beefyt 21:47, 2 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to add link to accounting math book edit

Previously, I added a link to my free accounting math book; however, that was in violation of the conflict of interest policy. So now I am proposing that someone else add the external link to the book. It has a section that mathemacically describes Governmental Accounting, which is appropriate for this article. The URL to the book is *Governmental Accounting Mathematically Described. Timhowardriley 17:06, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge with Fund Accounting edit

Most of the material covered by this article is part of the Fund Accounting article. A separate article for Governmental Accounting seems redundant and unnecessary. Perhaps Governmental should be merged into Fund? Folklore1 (talk) 18:24, 19 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

As Governmental Accounting at the Federal level is not fund accounting, the articles should not be merged. FLAHAM (talk) 14:57, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Governmental accounting is a subject on its own edit

Fund accounting is merely one (antiquated) kind of governmental accounting and the two cannot be merged conceptually. The fact that too little material exists on the subject of governmental accounting is not a valid reason for merging. It merely indicates that the material should then be expanded.
