Real name edit
The very first episode of Gilligan's Island lists the full character names in the shows ending credits. FYI - The Skipper's name is Johnas Grumby.
- Yeah, we knew the skipper's name. As far as I'm concerned, though, the section of this -- and the pointer from the disambig page -- are both inaccurate. By the general rules of canonicity for broadcast television, Gilligan's first name is as yet unknown, and we should probably say so.

- I always assumed that Gilligan was a first name. And why was the professor only called "the professor", and Mr. Howell wasn't called Thurston?Flight Risk (talk) 20:32, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Age edit
In the episode "Meet the Meteor", a meteor hit the island that aged living things. Gilligan thought it would've age the castaways 50 years (as said in the dream scene many times that it was the 50th anniversary on the island,) and at the end of the episode looked in the mirror and said "I look pretty good for a man of 72!"
