- due to issues with #2, I've held on reviewing for MoS
2. Is the article verifiable with no original research?
--NO--
- The statement "He was one of the most significant Southern Baptist preachers and writers of his era." is not supported by a reference either in its original location (the lede), or in subsequent sections.
- Location of internment is sourced to Find a Grave which is not RS.
- No references to support anything listed in the "Namesakes" section.
- The statement "he took several weeks from his pulpit to travel ..." is sourced to a comment in the comments section of the reference, and not the reference itself.
- No reference to establish that he died of Paget's Disease.
