• What makes electionsireland.org a reliable source? It appears to be a two-man operation per the copyright line, and I can't find an about page to check for editorial policies etc.

Spotchecks:

• FN 17 cites "He attended cabinet meetings as a non-voting member, a position described as a Super Junior Minister." Verified.
• FN 24 cites "Nash was re-elected to the Dáil following the 2020 general election". Verified, but I'd suggest making this "in" rather than "following"; it didn't happen later.
• FN 26 cites "Nash nominated Aodhán Ó Ríordáin for the position of leader." Verified.
• FN 3 cites "Nash was co-opted onto Drogheda Borough Council in 2000 to replace retiring councillor Patsy Kirwan": verified.
• FN 20 cites "Nash is currently Labour's party spokesperson on finance". Verified, but this needs to be reworded as "As of October 2023, ...".

• The lead is a bit short -- maybe add a couple more sentences.
• What does CBS stand for? Presumably a school of some kind; can we get a link?
• "Nash was co-opted onto Drogheda Borough Council": I know this is a quote from Nash himself, which is why I didn't object to it as part of the spotchecks above, but I don't think it's clear what he means by it. I would guess he means that friends in the party persuaded him, but it might be safer to make this just "Nash replaced retiring counciller Patsy Kirwan on Drogheda Borough Council in 2000, ...".

• ElectionsIreland.org is run by Seán Donnelly who has been collating and publishing electoral results for many years - widely used on Irish political biographies. Though if this is a hindrance for a GA, there are two other sources for backing the information present so it can be removed.
• I'll make the rewordings on the spotchecks shortly, though I would say "at the general election" rather than "in" as that phrasing is commonly used here.
• Point taken on expanding the lead, I'll have a go at that.
• CBS stands for Christian Brothers School, which is a common type of school that can be hyperlinked.
• Co-option is a process used in Irish county councils where if an officeholder retires/dies/takes higher office during their term, their political party can replace them. It's an official process rather than a persuasion job. ser! ^{(chat to me - see my edits)} 11:31, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

The fixes look good. For co-option, since I suspect that's not a widely understood term outside Éire, could we add a footnote that explains it, suitably cited? Even a redlink to Co-option (electoral process) or something similar would do, as it would tell the user this is a specific process.
